Fire Island Wind, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI). CIRI is an Alaska Native corporation based in Anchorage. It is one of the 12 Alaska-based regional corporations established by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 to benefit Alaska Native people who had ties to the Cook Inlet region. The company is owned by more than 8,800 shareholders, including members from all Alaska Native groups.
To support the social well-being of its shareholders and to contribute to its community, CIRI created a family of non-profit organizations that provide health care, housing, education, employment and other services. CIRI’s interests across Alaska and the United States represents a diverse portfolio of business operations and investments in sectors that include real estate, oilfield and construction services, energy development, environmental services, tourism and hospitality, government contracting and private equity and venture capital investments.
